Overview
Relate ("we", "us", "our") is a behavioral analysis service that processes WhatsApp chat exports to provide relationship and communication insights. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.
What We Process
- Chat exports: Text content from WhatsApp conversations you upload
- Screenshots/images: Visual content you choose to share for analysis
- Metadata: Message counts, timestamps, participant names as they appear in chats
🔥 The Burn Protocol
Your messages are deleted within 60 seconds of analysis. No human ever sees your chats.
- Transient processing: Data exists only in memory during analysis, then is immediately destroyed
- No storage: Raw chat data is never written to disk or database
- No training: Your conversations are never used to train AI models
- No sharing: We never sell, share, or monetize your personal data
- Stateless architecture: Each request is isolated - we have no record of your chats

How We Process Data
- You upload a chat export or screenshot
- Content is sent securely (HTTPS) to our analysis service
- AI analysis is performed by Anthropic's Claude API (US-based)
- Analysis results are returned to you
- Raw data is immediately deleted - not stored on any server
Cross-Border Data Transfer
To provide AI-powered analysis, chat content is transmitted to Anthropic (California, USA) for processing. Anthropic operates under strict data protection policies and does not retain or train on API data. By using Relate, you consent to this cross-border transfer as permitted under POPIA Section 72.
Third-Party Participants
Important: When you upload a chat, you are sharing information about other people who participated in that conversation. You must ensure you have the right to share this information (see Terms of Service).
Your POPIA Rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to processing of your information
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator
Since we do not store raw chat data, most deletion requests are automatically fulfilled. For any privacy concerns, contact: privacy@hotjupiter.co.za
Data We May Retain
- Account information: Email, phone number (if you create an account)
- Usage analytics: Anonymous usage statistics (no chat content)
- Payment information: Processed securely by third-party payment providers

- No database of chat content maintained

Changes to This Policy
